2018 Flushing

In late March 2018, ACWWA’s Operations Staff will begin flushing the following neighborhoods. Over time, naturally occurring material in the water can build up on the inside of a water main, impacting water flow and aesthetics (taste, color, odor, etc.). ACWWA traditionally uses a flushing method to remove this material. If you notice discolored water after flushing is complete in your neighborhood, we recommend customers run cold water through one tap (preferably the tap furthest away from the street) for 2 to 3 minutes after the completion of the procedure, prior to using the water for drinking or cooking.
